Report wrongdoing: Public Interest Disclosure (PID)

We are committed to maintaining a high standard of ethical and accountable conduct to ensure the integrity of our organisation and the work we do for the people of NSW. We have zero tolerance towards fraud, corruption or any other type of serious wrongdoing.

This Public Interest Disclosure Policy sets out how we support and manage reports of such matters and meet the responsibilities under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2022

If you suspect serious wrongdoing by an employee or other person working for EnergyCo, we encourage you to report the matter promptly, so that appropriate action can be taken.

We have entered into an arrangement with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water (DCCEEW) that states DCCEEW exercises these functions in accordance with section 81(2) of the PID Act:

  • the function of receiving voluntary public interest disclosures (which includes the assessing of public interest disclosures);
  • the function of dealing with voluntary public interest disclosures by investigating relevant serious wrongdoing; and
  • the provision of training under section 48 of the PID Act.

The arrangement is effective from 12 February 2025.
