NSW REZ Access Standards intended to apply to Central-West Orana REZ

In April and May 2022, EnergyCo, in collaboration with Transgrid and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), completed public consultation on the draft REZ Access Standards intended to apply to Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ). These REZ Access Standards will apply for the first access rights allocation for access to the Central-West Orana REZ access rights network, as part of implementing the Central-West Orana REZ Access Scheme under the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap.

We hosted two consultation webinars with over 350 participants and received detailed feedback from the industry that was considered to finalise the REZ Access Standards. A document clarifying the rationale for the final REZ Access Standards has also been developed to explain the changes made to the draft REZ Access Standards published in April 2022. This document also clarifies the intent of some of the technical requirements in the REZ Access Standards, in response to feedback received during the industry consultation process.
