Power purchase agreement education for councils and businesses

We have partnered with the Business Renewables Centre Australia (BRC-A) to give councils and businesses the knowledge and skills they need to negotiate power purchase agreements (PPAs) with renewable energy generators and retailers.

PPAs offer a strategic approach to securing long-term, reliable renewable energy supplies to save money and help meet net zero targets. They allow councils and businesses to directly purchase electricity from renewable energy generators like solar and wind farms.

Key benefits of power purchase agreements

  • Cost stability: PPAs provide price certainty in a volatile energy market
  • Sustainability leadership: Sourcing renewable energy through PPAs helps organisations meet their net zero goals
  • Supporting local communities: PPAs can help boost local jobs and investment opportunities

EnergyCo chose the BRC-A to deliver this program because of their strong track record of helping organisations forge power purchase agreements with energy suppliers.
